Cyberorgan wear and repair

From skimming a lot of the replies here, this seems like it has a neat potential.

For the idea of roundstart cyberorgans. I do like the idea of discount cyberorgans. Call them prosthetic organs or something weird. They could give the same or less buffs as cyberorgans but still have that degradation over time that'll cause minor issues needing repair, maybe bully spriters into making some wacky mechanical sprites for them. The actual *time* it'd take said organs to degrade can be debated, how often should one visit robotics in a round for those small buffs? Debate for code nerds :shrug

This would give a neat bit of flavor to RP characters and some mechanical advantages/disadvantages while still keeping cyberorgans as a viable replacement organ in the rare case the captain gets his left lung shot to death. Could also open up some opertunities for evil, a tot roboticst could rip out a mind protection implant during the secoff's checkup.  Though this would be mostly for the odd player wanting a stat buff or RP flavor, as even with this roboticsts would likely still be spinning in their chairs at shift time 30. But the more character customization available, the better! (It'd be kind of neat to see somebody explode and go "oh, they had a prosthetic heart")

P.S If we want more robotics interaction, maybe there could be gimmick cyberorgans? From the perspective of a secmain I try to not be too metagamey, even with cyberorgans mostly having unnoticable effects, it'd feel weird to walk into robotics and go "I WANT A PAIR OF ROBO LUNGS" as the only thing they offer is stat buffs. Could add some wacky organs that dont exactly *buff* players but give silly powers like genetics. Lungs that release confetti, hearts that can make siren noises, musical intestines. Somthing silly and mostly cosmetic, like silly gene powers sold in the booth, instead they replace your pancreas!
