Giving Roboticists access to Guardbuddies

I would say no, pretty much. Especially knowing that securitron is no longer in robofabs and mass printing securitron roboticist is a hassle for antags.

How is this related? Robuddies have almost the same function as securitron.

A possible work around to this problem and the fact that Robot Depot is rarely near robotics outside of CoG2 - might be to keep it that way? 

Make the production and deployment of Robuddies something that requires cross departmental cooperation between research and robotics? 

It wouldn't stop spamming Robuddies from being possible. But, I would bet it would make occurrences where that happened infrequent enough that it isn't an issue.
