I got a few suggestions to add to this:
1: A chemical that can be used to "dissolve bodies" into just organs and bones. So there is still a "fast way" to get rid of bodies but it requires some chem work.
Maybe some sort of acid can be repurposed for it?
2: If a corpse is rotten it gets accepted but it will only produce 10% of the biomass insted as a penalty. (We do not want stinky corpses to pile up).
3: Alternative ways to fill the bio mass counter without organ harvesting. Like.. a bio mass liquid you can order from cargo? Visercite juice? Eitherway something to tank up the cloner in emergencies. (like after it got bombed... we do not want time to redeploy to quadropple. So give an easy way out but make it pricey.)
4: Give corpses an alternative use for the chaplain. Like a funeral, cremation and such. Infact make it another mechanic where they have a dieing wish of their corpse being ejected in a coffin or cremated. And if organ donation is allowed or not?? Maybe?? Eitherway... have a reason for the chaplain to be a nuisance for medbay like: "We need to respect the last wishes" and they get something like improved healing?
