I'm just going to list all the drones I know are currently implemented that lack any unique drops and if I have any give suggestions for them:
Phaser drones - due to being the bog standard there is a good case to be made for them having no cool drops but maybe a small chance for a weak pod healing/refuelling item would work.
Plasma cutter drones - The plasma cutter works fine but i think giving them a pool of ores they can drop instead might also be neat since the cutters are primarily mining tools and there's a chance the drones are somewhat dual purpose.
AEX drones - A few options here 1-4 shells of aex, some fire/explosive chem or if you want something more out there an experimental "jumpstart" secondary module that in lore could be a sideproject to SEEDs where a small explosion (does damage to your pod) instantly propels your pod forward.
Rocket drones - Once again could just throw a beaker of explosives into the pool and call it a day but to me that doesn't feel right for some reason. Notably their gun works much better for pod wars and if available on station would likely be Fucking Miserable:tm:
Minigun drones - This is unrelated as they already drop their gun but holy fuck it sucks so much it's likely the worst pod weapon.
Laser drones - Absolutely shouldn't drop laser guns/scout lasers for how common they are, I don't have a ton of ideas for them to be honest
X-drone - AFAIK the original intent was for the buttcoin to be a placeholder but due to the amount of time it's been there it might be good enough to leave it as is for comedy as it also only spawns in a big loot prefab
Breacher drone (Mk4 laser one) - it's a 50/50 on if this or the X-drone spawns, if this was given a proper loot pool then the X-drone should have one too or this one should get a stupid reward similar to the buttcoin.
This post was mainly made so that other people who don't go to the debris field would know all the ones that don't really drop anything (any I haven't listed either already have a good reward or aren't around (we don't talk about the glitch drone)).
Personally I feel like more unique pod parts that aren't just weapons could be very cool and nifty as well as maybe giving all drone types a small chance to drop an engine based on their rarity and a similarly low chance for syndie comms systems (which afaik only really open the bigass drone in the debris field and do little else) as you can technically already get them.
