Suicide isn't the same as going to cryo. By going to cryo and observing, you reopen the slot you had occupied when you joined the round. The suicide command is also there for moments where you are stuck, there is no reasonable way for you to get help, and you'd rather just be removed from the round/cloned rather than remain stuck in place endlessly.
If you're sick/unwell/tired, you should just cryo. Suicide I think should still autocall the shuttle at low enough player counts in order to encourage the round to not drag on endlessly.
Imagine this: You're on lowpop and it's you and two scientists. You're making cement foam bombs to test out. One accidently detonates. You and two other players become trapped in cement walls that you can't escape from in a reasonable time frame. This happens at minute 15. You decide to suicide because it's not fun to be trapped in walls for 30 to 40 minutes, or even indefinetly. Now, the shuttle isn't called. If this is RP, not a huge deal, you have a 10 minute respawn window. If this is classic, well, that's it. Now you might have to wait for the round to naturally just run out of time.
EDIT: I would agree to this change on RP, but only because RP has a respawn window. Shuttle calls always felt weird for that reason.
