Running Goonstation on Linux: A Guide

A little add-on, based on my own troubles.

Wine 10.0, Byond 515 on Windows side.
LMDE 6, Byond 516.1659 on Linux side.

1) If your BYOND install is stuck on "Loading game information" you can :
      Press [Ctrl]+[o] and enter target server's address manually.

2) If for whatever reason you are unable to log into BYOND itself :
      You can yoink login info from another, already working BYOND install. E.g. your old windows machine.

1.     Install BYOND as per the instructions above.
   
2.     On, say, "Loading game information", press [Ctrl]+[p]. Also works from the hub.
   
3.     Navigate to "Games" tab.
   
4.     Uncheck the "Login to games as Guest..." box
   
5.     Locate your verified-to-work install's .key
          - For me, on both Windows and Linux, it was located at [your-user]/Documents/BYOND/key.txt
            Notably Linux-side it was not on the weird Wine simulated disk, it was in your actual Linux user's Documents.
   
6.     On the working side copy BEGIN KEY ... END KEY block of text that contains your ckey.
   
7.    Plonk it down in the non-working side's key.txt file. I wrote mine before the preexisting guest KEY's block, not sure if order matters.
   

That is it.
After doing this ritual I was able to log into an ongoing Goon game without entering my credentials, but something else broke immediately.
On the second attempt it forced the usual log in window to appear and I could auth normally from there.

Not sure which parts of this were needed, but it worked out in the end.
