Edit: I'm still gonna play a mute character in spite of the dev's stance against adding it as a trait and (perceived?) distaste of it (idk they really seem to not like the idea of mute characters)

However, if you want to communicate via writing alone, you can always just… do that? There‘s no need for this to be a trait.
