Heya Dr. Puggers, before going into any kind of review, I do want to get some clarification on these particular quotes. Could you go into a little more detail? You acknowledge yourself here a contradiction in your application that's apparently very recent.

I don't have the context of the round and might be misinterpreting what you mean here, and it would be an injustice to your application to not try and avoid that. However, on the face of it it appears you're admitting your commitment to eschew favouring or metagaming, however light, is not consistent. These two aspects are pretty crucial for a HoS or a player in general to avoid, and that your statements against that aren't firm one if you need to have "an upper hand" which going to be a regular factor both in HoS and in general security play. I feel like a little more explanation around what exactly you mean might help avoid that and give better clarity about your approach both as an officer and potential HoS.

Bear in mind this is just my personal current interpretation and others may full well not come to the same one, and it's absolutely fine if you don't for my sake, just explaining something I had some concern on while going through your application this time around.
