Hi! I actually don't think we've ever interacted much, but I took some time recently (which helpfully coincided with watching a few other applicants) in light of your application. I've got some feedback and hopefully bumping your application up might encourage others to take a look and give you some too.
So I've been watching a few rounds for other applicants but you've also been about the same time and I've also managed to catch a few rounds where I was watching a little more closely. Due to something I'll cover later this feedback covers that more than anywhere else, I'll split it into more general things in one half and cover specific stuff in the other before summarising.
General stuff:
* I got to see you play a variety of roles, a couple of captains, one as a MD, but mostly command roles. In these you interacted really well with departments and seem to have a really good generalised knowledgebase. There wasn't a thing you seem hugely fazed by.
* You were in any example really good about both engaging in a situation happening or someone talking to you no matter who they were. I didn't see you shoo anyone off for anything. An example of this was one round where a somewhat classic trope of a scientist offering a large amount of drugs came up to you. It's easy to sometimes brush this off but you engaged with it which I'm sure they appreciated!
* You were good at communicating across radio channels too. It's not perhaps a huge mentor thing but it shows you're aware of the importance of talking to players in the game, and you conveyed information well and in a concise manner. You also seem pretty laid back in terms of mentality.
Specific round stuff:
* During a round yesterday you came upon a situation where someone was diagnosising an issue in medbay. You didn't "take over" from the doctor but instead told them about sabutamol as the appropriate item to treat it, you weren't rude, just imparted the information politely. Seems like a pretty great example of what mentors are aiming to do help out players and let them do things on their own terms.
* I liked your captain gimmick in a round just now where you built a little outer post and just engaged players as they came across you. It honestly seems like you're happy to talk to anyone who wants to talk to you, and that's always a great mindset mentor wise where you'll end up helping lots of different players.
In terms of critique, it's more feedback as I honestly didn't see anything I can give much critique for, more just general advice: As you don't make a lot of use of discord for questions and you were in roles that didn't generally afford much opportunity to directly offer assistance while setting up it took a while to get enough notes to give you some feedback. It's not required at all to be doing either, but I'd either say if you're looking for more player feedback try and jump on opportunities to get it if only hopefully to get you more feedback. However, from what I saw you honestly seem to have a great approach to playing, and a good knowledgebase I can only see as a positive thing for being a mentor, so a definite +1 from me.
