Upgrading A Slamgun?

It wouldn't be much of a slam gun if you no longer slam the gun to fire it. And if we're using electricity in a tube then why not just let me make a railgun and fire scrap at people.

well aware but fair point, this suggestion just interprets slam guns as some rudimentary gun frames, but otherwise i'd have no idea how to upgrade one
