I can't give a + or - here simply down to me, I've absolutely not had a chance to observe Winchester enough, especially for a HoS application where I'm hesitant to proffer one in general. This is a "Me" problem not a "Them" issue. However I do want to offer some basic informational observance of Cynthia who I've encountered a few times, and Winchester in general.
I random name my AIs for various reasons not really relevant here, but it does incidentally give you a view of how people behave when they do not "recognise" your character. Without opening a can of worms my anecdotal experience is that it's very easy for people to simply favour paying more attention to someone they know than they don't. Cynthia has regularly avoided this and as per their application they are attentive and communicative in my experience which are both useful HoS skills, and just in general good to see.
Winchester themselves on the discord is polite in my experience, though I think it's definitely a good idea to take on board some of the critique here. However I would if they're not successful (and if they are as well, this might help) and look to apply again strongly encourage them to take Silent Majority's advice of putting in some direct security time, but perhaps under a character playing in a style that they might want to see as a HoS one day, maybe one that demonstrates RP-wise the sort of consideration and balance that others are citing here as qualities they like to see from HoSes, some strong training and mixed with what I've seen from them in terms of engagement with anyone. I think they're absolutely capable of this and a demonstration of a character they play that exemplifies the sort of qualities we're looking for in HoSes would put a second application in a much stronger place, or if they're successful demonstrate they've already taken on board the critique given here so far.
