from my (inherently limited) perspective, what you seem passionate about when discussing the game in the discord is Command. specifically stuff like the chain of command, which command member has discretion over what, how you think command should resolve situations in RP, etc. this isn't a BAD thing -- people enjoy different elements of the game! have your fun!
I bring it up here to say, taking this application with your expressed interests of who you're The Boss Of doesn't leave me with confidence. to me, it comes across like you're applying for the IC power it'll give you. this worries me because, more than ANY other role, the HoS can suck the fun out of everyone else's rounds if they aren't considering other people's play experience. they don't just have control over station security in the fiction, they can majorly affect how enjoyable or painful it is to be playing ANY role that round. and what that calls for in a HoS is a focus on empathy over hierarchy, and the flexibility to put rank aside if needed
at this point, I'd suggest reevaluating if the responsibilities of a HoS are really for you. it's no mark of shame if they aren't -- HoS is a demanding role, and plenty of people don't apply because of that! and if you still think it's right for you, then you might benefit from some more rounds as a role with no real on-station power. the added perspective will provide more practical benefit for any potential HoS than studying station hierarchy will, I'd say
