Okay, donut2 having a research outpost is fun. We require more offstation bits of fun. I think an airbridge leading to a command bunker area containing HIGHLY reinforced offices for all the heads would be pretty neat. Nukies could go through space and bust in from anywhere if the Captain was doing routine inspections. It should start connected and pressurized, and have a seal option that shuts blast doors and retracts the airbridge.
Or a super isolated explorer outpost with no Tcomms, the only way to talk with the station being a 2 way chat terminal.
Or a packet controlled internet of things esque science outpost. I'm not talking "see what the arti is" I mean "connect to dwaine and make the windows dance" type of packet controlled.
