Generic "we need to finish muterace rework first" disclaimer aside;
Plant people are cool and seem (to me) a very easy and logical addition to the muterace roster, fire vulnerability is cool, breathing CO2 and leaving oxygen behind seems really cool and flavorful but also potentially a balancing nightmare, unless they just need significantly less CO2 or come with a portable tank (รก la plasma lungs), because I shudder to think of stations having permanent breathing problems because it's 50/50 plant people and not plant people.
Photosynthesis seems like a no-brainer too, but light checks are non-trivial and kind of expensive so we may need to either revamp the lighting system or find some sort of jank solution to make it work. But basically, plants in the dark can't breathe, which seems like a cool unique restriction.
Maybe they could also "talk to plants" and get like, a more detailed breakdown over the plant's status when doing botany stuff, and there ought to be some kind of interaction with kudzu (which itself needs a rework).
