Actually pyrosium does still heat stuff properly from what I've seen, just for some reason it defaults the temperature of the beaker to 0 when mixed.
As for the other stuff, try some different chemical combinations, there is some crazy stuff that you can do + look at the shit faffotron has been up to and laugh.
