Nukeop special purchase: Nuke-In-A-Drone
Considering nukes are already pretty damn expensive, adding a few more bucks into adding a couple of thrusters and a machinegun couldn't possibly hurt.
Now the nuke has an outer layer of armor, a machinegun identical to the one the ballistic drone uses, and is mobile and agressive towards the crew.
Alternatively, make the nuke another member of the team, give it legs, and make it run and hide from the crew until it explodes.
