Yeah, that's just blatently false. Lots of species in nature can succumb to their own venom, scorpions kill other scorpions all the time. Just because a chemical is produced by a creature doesn't mean the creature is immune to it, that's why they have specialized venom sacks. I guarantee you if you took stomach acid from a dude and splashed it in his eye he wouldn't be immune to that shit.
