I think having "Get high, hope you randomly spot the wraith" be a thing is a bad idea. Instead of trying to destroy the wraith in its non-physical form, I think the idea should be to trap it in a physical form.
Like, if a wraith possesses an object, and the object gets destroyed, it goes back to being a wraith. But if you could do some kind of ritual, splash the object with holy water or whatever then the wraith is no longer able to leave the object and if the object is destroyed so is the wraith. Obviously the wraith should be able to escape a sealed object after a while, but I think that'd be a more interesting way to fight them than "get high, shoot wraith with gun". Also, with that in place, entering a corpse would be a risky proposition because if the corpse is sealed then the wraith essentially becomes temporarily mortal.
