yeah i'm not too keen on the name change, it's kinda wacky that your 'consultant' pops up doubly strapped with tactical webbing and an armored spacesuit.
'Operative' might have made it sound too tacticool but Consultant makes me think of the ex-military guy who might just have their standard-issue handgun, a clipboard and a big salary.
I would have just been fine with nanotrasen security officer, or security representative, something more suitable for a fellow who is presumably still in service.
