Let me just preface this by saying: no, the weddings had zero impact on what is going on here, and I am only concerned with rulebreaking behaviour.
I can understand that, coming from a player's perspective and not having access to logs and other player's history via notes, that this comes across as confusing and feels bad. I'm not going to go and publicly post logs or point fingers at any specific players, their bans are their business and not to be discussed in the open like this, that's just unfair and embarrassing to them and frankly I'm not a fan of people trolling the appeals and feedback subforum just looking for the latest juicy gossip to learn about. What I will say is this misconception that rules were not broken and said rule-breakers were *not* warned beforehand about their behaviour is false for the bans that I was involved in.
Regarding your specific message for me, I was not aware of that context and I greatly apologize for that stress it caused you. Bans previously removed said banned character mob from the game, and I'm not sure when that changed but I was unaware that it was no longer a thing. I did not force a suicide or anything on anyone, simply handed out the ban. IAgain, it was not my intention to cause any kind of unpleasantness for you, but being less diligent in follow up I did, and I'm sorry for that.
I get that from your point of view it just looks like the player was unfairly removed from the game, but that is not true in the slightest. When someone has been warned before for the exact same rulebreaking behaviour previously, it is entirely reasonable to simply ban them, and I'm not sure where this idea that We Do Not Do This comes from. As per the rule page, under Things To Keep In Mind (Ingame),
1. Warnings aren't necessarily required. Although in general the admins will do their best to have a discussion about any given conflict before enacting a punishment, there are some cases where communication is either impossible or nonproductive.
Nonproductive includes when players ignore previous, very explicit, warnings.
Regardless, I appreciate that you took the time to post your feedback and I will endeavor to try to make sure any bans that I hand out in the future do not cause undue stress for other players in the round. Players don't deserve to have their gameplay impacted any more than necessary to remove banned players from the round, I regret that your round was.
