no such thing as a desync with other users in byond-land

well that was just a theory anyway.

just an hour ago it was working fine, small lag at one moment, but mostly normal at around 100ms all round.
 
after a break I come back on and the ping skyrockets again.
this issue has only been occurring since the most recent BEYOND update, and in the past happened after a previous BEYOND update.
it was fixed in the past after a week or so, but it's unknown what the cause or fix is.

okay I just tested, from arrivals shuttle to the bar on Cogmap 1, my ping goes from ~100ms to ~2000ms by just moving closer to the players there.
