That would add up to a lot of PDA spam :/ plus it's no good for finding stolen IDs that people are holding in their pocket/backpack

All someone would have to do is take off their ID and walk through a public access door to foil it. or open a door and not walk through it.

That's a Good Thing!

If you want to really keep an eye on someone, shove a tracking implant in their skull. Security shouldn't be all seeing, all knowing gods. That's what the AI's for, and it would be a step closer to the shitcurity that other stations have, with omnipresent mounted flashers and auto-arrest HUD sunglasses that also shoot lasers and make people eat their own poo.
