As it happens, and early iteration of my cog1 cloning/genetics redesign (https://github.com/goonstation/goonstation/pull/4776) did include blinds on the genetics suite (basically the same as chem). It was a Very Unpopular Idea, and got scrapped. Reasons given included the fact that geneticists are already super isolated and more reason for crew to not interact with them is a Bad Thing.
