I think a spray bottle can remove old feed, and also something like temporarily making a fluid puddle on the turf, but I *would* love to start out with some kind of item that can do it. Having to go steal cleaning supplies from somewhere is really annoying, especially when you don't know their location on every map.

Also, I think you can calm a scared chicken down by hand-feeding it. (Clicking on it with feed directly.)

I haven't made Henksters, so I can't comment there, but I could see how requiring a rooster would be very frustrating, especially since you can't really make your chickens happy or they'll turn brown.
