A philosophy/history/maths/all together nerd shit that doesn't involve physical stuff

Pretty much things like philosophy, history, mathematics, literature, language. all the stuff that isn't, I don't know, engineering or uh welding. Yeah I think you get me.

Would second/third this because I do sometimes go off about a few of these topics and probably want to contain my nerdery; I do think disentangling these subjects as, shall we say, "academic" versus sociopolitical is important, like Wisecrack pointed out, since a lot of these topics are ones that are influenced by politics and things that are still divisive. I wouldn't know how to go about setting like "house rules" for that. How would we discuss something like Paradise Lost or WWI in this "Objective and Totally Thorough and Nuanced Way that Everyone Agrees Upon"?

For what it IS worth, I think a lot of people who do talk these subjects have a pretty good gauge anyways of when/how far they need to go on a subject that might poke at some loose or sensitive ends.
