Critical Pods randomly becoming invincible

Can confirm this, yesterday during the egg round, me and another person engaged in a podfight, me with a disruptor and they with a prismatic laser. Despite us shooting each other forever and our pod health being completely gone (with our pods burning) neither of the pods ever blew up.
