An imposing crystal appears nearby in a flash of light!
A horrible edifice appears at your feet!
A humming pile materializes out of nothing!
A janky thing suddenly appears in your hand!

Activating artifacts = getting rewarded(?) by having more artifacts appear, plus spooky/strange messages from... somewhere. Also some way to trigger this, so that you can "offer" activated artifacts?
