As for other critters that could pop up, I know I said there shouldn't be much overlap with things that can appear in crates, but the idea of a Space Bear inside one's opened container artifact is, I feel, too amusing to ignore.

I like this idea. What true artifact nerd would be unhappy to get even more artifacts?

Really though, making it an artifact piñata isn't a bad idea. One artifact begets many.
