Major Morgue slabs do not preserve bodies

I was under the assumption that morgue slabs were meant to preserve bodies on their own, without needing formaldehyde/embalming fluid, but I put a fresh corpse in there, and later when someone took it out, it had started to rot.

They preserve bodies until they're opened, then the corpses all update
which entirely defeats the point
Dunno if that's the same issue

Seems that this is a long-standing issue, which makes sense considering NOBODY uses morgue slabs these days anyways.
