So like high-level skateboard levels of uncontrollable speed?

here's my pitch: The all-hearing eye.
You hear everything, like a ghost - but you also get all of the other range-based messages like combat, conspicuous movements, etc.
the pros and cons of this mess of visual information should be fairly obvious.
