If you have to rationalize it, telekinesis allows you to move things with your mind. So you're just flying your sword out into the hallway and beating people to death with it. Somehow, in the process, it becomes invisible, but such is the way of mysterious psychic powers.

How does that explain telekinetically stun batoning people through walls or, worse, security cameras?

You flew it all the way out there, duh.

No one said psionics weren't broken... I mean... I'm pretty sure psionics are broken in any game they're in.
