A way to update genetics database

Since nobody uses DNA scan on cloner (and I dunno if it even works); would it be possible to, instead, add a research yo Genetics that allows them to update a person's DNA database from the pod, reading their ID to determine identity?(spitting out an error if the ID is missing)

This could be useful for when someone activates Booster Y, is cloned, or is scrambled.
