I believe that if your heart isn't in your body, you're permastunned and take hecka oxy damage until you die or get a new one in there. It's what happened to me when I tried to swap out my heart for a robot one.

Might be possible with stimulants. Or enough meth and bath salts.

Wouldn't work, you would need to take them after you'd removed your heart else they'd just get removed with it. The heart acts as the reagent container for the mob.
