add a zombification chem to the traitor poison bottle pool

itd be fun if there were more devastating things to be had in poison bottles besides things that instakill people or ice spider eggs which are functionally similar to what i am suggesting in that they cause something that is easily spread and can easily wipe out the crew but this time you aren't gibbed and forced to sit out and watch the carnage as a ghost

That zombie disease reagent that turns people into playable zombies might be fun actually, I haven't seen it in a while. Still kind of debilitating, but much more interesting than 'your heart screws up and you die' chem no #13.

I'd like this a lot, and would be even more interesting if it zombified people over a short amount of time and not immediately, so more chances to spread it before being a horrible zombie!

Also maybe as an expensive MedSci traitor vial that has that symptom for Pathology, but that symptom can't be found anywhere without it (well, maybe deep in space) BUT it requires you to splice the gene into a disease you built and engineered.

You've got my vote on this.

I'd love to have some way to get player-zombies. I miss those BraaAAAinnsSSs...

I think this would lead to zombie rounds every round unless zombies were really easy to behead/delimb.

Like regular chainsaws and medical saws should have a high chance of removing targeted zombie limbs when you beat zombies with them. Plus making it so that Zombies only revive if they have a head (which could lead to some frankenstein fun for robotics assuming one zombie isn't a jerk.)

The only time i saw zombies was when a necrovirus injector artifact appeared on destiny. It would also be great to be able to make zombie plagues with pathology

Well, you find NPC zombies all around Pathology stations in the Debris field, and Live zombies in genetics...

I seem to recall a stated problem with the zombie stuff is that people would seek out zombies to get turned into evil zombies so they could be antags.

I wonder if you couldn't just add some ramping death effects so that death is inevitable but gradual, so that you don't necessarily WANT to be a zombie but can enjoy it if it happens.

Also you have a 50% chance of not being able to control the zombie, and if that happens, a 10% chance you can't be cloned? I dunno.

Self-Antagging is one of the biggest problems with things like Zombies.

since the poison bottles are random, and you can tune the zombie reagant to be as rare as you want on the poison bottle table, this sounds acceptable to experiment with

Perhaps zombies could not hold items properly? Like have a 25% chance of dropping the item you are holding every time you move. That would make it harder to be a zombie, and make them easier to handle when not in groups

considering this is the biggest criticism I could see for this idea I'll just reiterate what others have said, specifically that this should be in traitor poison bottles. that way it won't happen every round and although it might suck on low pop servers so do 90% of all the other "kill people" traitor items. i just really really want to have poisons do more interesting things than just do oxy/tox/whatever damage, we need more death chems that are actually INTERESTING to use
