AI camera issues
#1
- The "hull breach" area just east of the brig is nigh-impossible to bring up on cameras.
- Same with the Jazz Lounge -- you have to use some weird way of getting to it, since going south from the bar will eject you somewhere else. I think you have to squeeze in from the Detective's office?
- Medbay by the cloner has some issue where clicking around it will instead bring you to the pharmacy area.

These are the big ones right now. I'm still holding hope for a future update that lets the AI camera free-roam.

You forgot the telepad.

Also, the pathology lab has no cameras at all IIRC.

Intentional. Both areas are supposed to have blind spots or inconvenient camera placement.

Fixed.

There's a camera right next to the telepad.

I don't mind the blind spots or awkward cameras -- it's the fact that they're difficult to get to at all that's annoying. The click-to-focus thing breaks down pretty badly around both of those areas. It really sticks out because once you memorize what area something is in (like "Electrical Substation") it's often a great deal faster to cancel camera view and just select it from the AI camera list.

To solve! Add TG camera system! Just add it! Stop torturing us! It will fix everything!

It isn't, but this isn't a thread about complaining at other players, let's not. I seem to remember it being kinda hard to work your way to the solar substation on the south end.

I'm pretty sure everyone who plays AI more than once has begged for a more free-roaming camera solution at some point or another.

(Even the argument of "It'll be easier to find cameras that are cut!" has fallen apart because you get a big obnoxious flashing screen now)

No, it wont.

Having finally played as a blob, if somehow the AI experience could replicate that I would be very happy. I'm all for the AI having intentional blindspots, but I'd rather it be based on just not seeing things than it being intentionally hard to navigate there.

For the hull breach area, you can view it (there's a camera there) but you have to either select it from the camera list, or push down down right left from the armoury to get the camera centered properly. If you do the intuitive thing (start at brig, go right) it shows crew quarters maint instead.

For electrical substation (and belt hell in general) you basically just want to use cameras.
