Give security crusers
#1
i was playing detective in a round with some rovers spawned in which got me thinking.

add in some reskined rovers to act as police crusers, they're not as dangerous as the segways and with proper id maybe you could open them either to store suspects or gear.

When i first read the title of this idea...i read it as give security crushers....Haha. But more importantly i REALLY love this idea.....While the other guys have their fancy 'teleporting machines'....Us security folks and do it the old fasion way with out hover police cars....That way we can do some small talk with criminals without people pushing the criminal and freeing him while still allowing people to raid the police car and try and free the criminal.

That or security can use it as an taxi serivce/become the clown bodyguard triggering a plot to assitant the clow with an live bomb during one of the patrols around the station.

A little motorcycle with a side car would be nice. Grabbing someone and using them on it would shove them into the sidecar, and if they had cuffs on they couldn't get out until someone pulled them out or they resisted out of them. Segways are good for a laugh, but are more a hindrance than a boon for Sec. A civilian version should be available somehow as well.

I also would like to remention my idea from another thread that there should be a rideable Borg configuration for Sec/Borg buddy cop action.

That just makes them sound like they should be reskinned clown cars. Not that that's a bad idea.

I think it would be a good idea to set it up to where the person in the back could just click on the cruiser to get out but only if they aren't handcuffed.

Also I just noticed I misspelled cruiser.

People only use segways to crash into each other repeatedly and you know it.

I'm still planning to eventually add those.

I once stole a segway from security (rude thing to do, but actually I've done that several times) and managed to chase after a nuke agent, even surviving one rpg blast before I hit someone and they shot me with another rpg blast and killed me.

I'm pretty certain that a manned segway might be rpg proof, I had the sirens on and the nuke agent couldn't kill me with his first shot because I drove straight through it, somehow surviving the explosion and looking like a paul blart action hero.

Yeah you can take nanomachines and get on a segway, and once you are borged you are invincible until someone pulls you off of it.

as far as prisoner transport goes, the port-a-brig is good and rarely used, but more cars that don't throw you to the ground if you bump into anyone would be cool in general

The port-a-brig is great, but I think a golf cart thing would be great for the added benefit of mobility, the greater chance of criminals escaping from it, and the general shenanigans of people trying to steal the cart.
