Abominations should be ungrabbable.

Yeah but a changeling needs like a minimum of 4 absorbs to use that form and it can roll with any player requirement. This change is gonna suck on classic where combat matters most, and where there's the least amount of players.

I'd be a lot more tolerant of this kind of change if they just made the changeling grab resist harm players or something because it's a giant monster flailing around and you're right up in its face.

Removing it entirely is a death sentence for anyone playing on lowpop, and making it automatically damage people is kinda cheap but it's better than the other option. I like freedo5's magboots effect suggestion too.

Really like the suggestion of an abom resisting damaging whoever is holding them, makes sense since as you said it's this giant creatures flailing around to get out of your grasp. Magboots effect is... interesting, but for that I would rather if abom was also made a bit slower, currently abominations moves and runs at the same speed as a regular spessman, I swear at one point they were a bit slower, but now they're the same speed, so to give them magboot effects i feel it would be nice if they were also bit to be a bit slower so people can actually run away from them.

With how devastating a monster form is in melee, and with how common the strategy of "just walk away lol" is, i'd say being able to grab the changeling is FINE even if it's not entirely realistic. Just for the factor of it being really really funny to be able to suplex it, even if that's suicidal. I think extended holds should suffer some penalty in the form of damage to the human so they dont just walk away with it. But i'd just make the devour continue prog unless the target moves out of range, and not just when one or the other moves at all. Biggest issue monster forms face isn't being grabbed, it's that everybody is faster than you.

Honestly, i think it would be better if moving the abom would not break devour. So grabbing the changeling wont prevent devour and the abom would have better movement while in combat.

Consider the fact that with cuffs, the Ling can just readjust their body to slip right out of them

What's to stop them from growing a mouth where they're being held and just chomping the hands off the person holding them? Or just pulling them inside and wrapping themselves all around the person holding them?

Also, it turns out you can cancel out an abomination who's currently devouring YOU by grabbing them. This also lets you escape from their grasp which is normally unbreakable for the person grabbed.

This honestly. I think if you grab the abomination you should just have to roll a chance to lose that limb.
