Making a channel in the discord that keeps track of forum posts
#1
A lot of community members only uses discord and barely checks the forums, often missing new suggestion threads, new applicants for HoS/Mentor applications, and just other things that might spark their interests that they would interact with and comment on, if they knew about.

My suggestion would be having a channel in the discord that logs new forum posts similar to the already existing #Github-log channel, but instead for new posts on the forums, maybe just for specific boards like HoS/Mentor applications? Since the original discussion happened from people mentioning that often applications goes unnoticed because of the lack of usage of the forums by a good part of the community.

I am sorry for suggesting this if it's something too hard/impossible for the development team to do, but I thought it was an interesting/nice idea that the community would enjoy.

I support anything that promotes the forums. And I see that MyBB has extensions that can do precisely that and more to integrate with discord. Now, I have no clue how good are those if it all, but still. Seems plausible.

Seems like a good compromise between Discord and Forums.

Agree smile Especially considering so many people say they don't use the forums or don't even know they exist, a channel like that would be so helpful!
