Maybe you should put a Robotics fab in the medical booth near the cafe. It would let people do limb replacements there, and give the chef a way to get cyborg heads for roburgers.
And I do love me some roburgers.

Robotics is the robotacists job. More than not people would just bring you the old limbs anyway. Besides, you need a operating table to attach a limb. Or knock someone out with sleeping gas and use a table. All that stuff is in medbay.

I support this simply for the potential of more roburgers.

What about placing a crate with some robotic limbs up there? Not enough to build a complete borg, but maybe just a couple legs, arms, and heads?

Borgs would still need a card to lock the interface properly. Roboticists tend to have a lot of downtime. Most people want to be cloned. If robotics could decide to set up shop near the cafe they might have a lot more traffic. If nothing else they could pester the gambling addicts for butt donations.

QM has a robotics manufacturer don't they?
Get an electrician to scan that one and throw it next to kitchen, proceed to steal metal from the tool storage.

honestly. If the Roboticists could set up shop at the north end of the station, you may see an increase in borgings. Or you might not, honestly, it dosnt hurt to give this a shot. Also, could just through in an operating table in there too and expanded it a little bit.

It's a first aid booth, not a shady hobosurgery theatre. Keep NT-approved surgery in Medbay.

Give the medical director a portable surgery table (and offer them for sale via merchants, so crewmen pay lots of money to offer their own butt removal service)

This. MD definitely needs something like this, super useful and fun. Someone already made a sprite for it even.

Isn't there already a thread devoted to this idea?

So the chef wants to make roburgers. He spends 5 minutes convincing the mechanic to scan a robofab, another 5 to convince QM to let the mechanic scan the fab, another 2 minutes for the robofab scan to cook, another 5 minutes trying to get in contact with the mechanic, and other 3 minutes breaking into the mechanic's lair to do it himself. 30 minutes later he can finally start making roburgers.

Hobosurgery is best surgery, but I never suggested there should be a surgical table there. It is mostly meant to be a resource for the non-medical personnel who inevitably break in and loot the place.

That is a completely separate and unrelated suggestion, but you still get a copper star for participation.

This is probably the best way to go. Have some spare limbs in a crate, so you can make roburgers as you figure out ways to get more heads in the meantime. Putting a fab there seems like overkill, it shouldn't be THAT easy to mass produce.
