[PR] Increase chances for clone defects & add new defects

Maybe have scans degrade over time, so if you get scanned early you either get more defects or longer cloning time depending on how old your scan is

This is a really interesting idea that I would love to see more fleshed out by someone - it has potential for sure, IMO.

I mean, if people dislike major cloning defects that much, wr could replace them with puritan.

You got limited lifes, deal with it. If you want more, make cloning records of a fresh scan.

imho cloner defects that render you in a state where you'd rather just be dead aren't great. being blind until (or if) someone manages to get you a VISOR sucks

allow pre-scanning using saving to disks. security starts with their own disks, other people need to be backed up on one; the cloner no longer has any built-in storage

start wtih a box of 5 next to the cloner, make them cheap to print out at the medical fab -- few people will ever bother.

cloning from a dead body might give minor defects; worse with more decomposition since the necroscan (iirc) was removed. gives a reason to use rotubst implants when you can't afford scans.

worst case the cloner gives you a free record-tracking implant.

I think this is a great change but doesn't inherently fix the issue of death being not scary, it also doesn't really stop the cloner from being an easy solution that skips the entire medical system the game has.

As for defects, we can work out a whitelist to be deemed detrimental enough without wanting someone to suicide, though admittedly the people that would rather suicide or leave the match after a defect (especially if they can be cured somehow) attribute to more of an attitude problem in my mind. Being blind until (or if) someone gets you a VISOR sucks, yes, but not being cloned at all and being dead for real is worse. Not to mention that many powergamers who may feel impeded by this know how to easily print a VISOR themselves.
