QM and its crates
#1
Buying items on QM has become more fluid as of the past introduction of the crate conveyer system.
I noticed that QM crates are now being divided up, for example with catering, instead of just your general "chef crate" you have 4 different catering crates.
This should be a trend for all the crates, the option of having a selection of specific things you want to buy while remaining at a lower price as it is specific increases the chance of you buying it. It also increases the chances of implementing new crates to QM.

A few examples:
Currently there is only one clothing crate, the novelty clothing crate.
You could divide that up into 5 different crates; Novelty, Fibirilith (for making clothing), Exosuit, Cool, Strange, Civilian..

Split the mechanic crate up, Engineering crate (blue toolbox, welding mask, firefighting/metal foam) to Mechanic crate (Insulated gloves, Yellow toolbox) to RCD crate (2 RCD cartridges)

Remove the 4 laser crate (it's a bit redundant now that ordering times are zilch) replace it with 2 new crates: Riot crate (4 boxes of stun spack rounds, tear gas, stun rounds for the detective) and SWAT crate (Superflashes, thermite breaching charges, 2 boxes of bruiser spack rounds)

Add pod modules and assorted borg upgrade crates.

Add a fuel crate, gives you coal and 2x medium heated plasma tanks

Change the lab monkey crates to Poor, Medium and High quality x2 monkeys. The quality refers to its genetic material, High would have alot of potential mutations.

Add new items to buy, stuff that gives departments an incentive to work together
Eden crate: x1 Eden Hydroponic tank: A hydroponic tank that automatically waters and secretes nutrients, guaranteeing a top quality harvest everytime
Deployable cooker: x1 deployable oven
Blueprints: Gives x5 assorted data disks for mechanics to fiddle with
AI core: x1 AI core. Somewhere to shove an AI's mind into, if your feeling dastardly. Or if you want to replace the AI by shoving someone's elses mind

I don't like the idea of a fuel crate, that is something that should be pursued by Research

Also bear in mind that whatever card-locked security items you make orderable via QM will be accessible by QM traitors.

It could be used for research, passed on to make a stronger brew. Or it could be expensive, only to relied on if engineers are not present/useless

oh most definetly, infact half the reason would be that traitors could get their hands on some cool weapons/tools if the time arises.
