Hey folks, guess what? It's time for another thread on current affairs over on Goonstation! Today, I'll be addressing some recent events and some plans we have going forward for the future.
New Player Wave
If you haven't noticed, we no longer have just 2 servers! In fact, we now have 4 and sometimes 5. This is primarily to help manage the increased numbers of players we've been getting, so maps aren't super cramped. So, servers 3+ are generally locked to Cog2 because of some backend fiddling we need to still do. But, thank you Wire for doing so much already. Also, we have 5 brand-new babby admins: Gerhazo, HydroFloric, kyle2143, Flaborized, and JohnWarcrimes! Hopefully (if we feed them enough) they'll help with the tide.

In alignment with the increased player count, MBC and I have been working on lots of optimizations so we can better handle the amount of players without having to resort to drastic measures. Also, the Goonstation team sourced job pocket guides from our lovely community and put it in the pockets of select jobs! Now, you have so much knowledge, right handy-dandy in your pocket.
Recent Combat Balance Changes
Recently, MBC has been doing a lot of changes to combat. One major noticeable changes is the implementation of the Status Effect Disoriented, which is sort of a precursor to being stunned and unable to do anything. Alongside this, we've also made Status Effects end properly, so they stop applying as soon as it hits 0. This has the fun effect of making the rest button instantly apply, so maximum funtimes can be had.
