[Solved] New crawl/standup mechanic makes self-surgery impossible

So self surgery involved exploiting the standup delay, during which you could act, but still be considered prone.

I am not sure (was gone for a while), but the stand/crawl mechanic seems to not have this delay anymore.
Has it changed over the past 4 months or so?
This makes sober self-surgery impossible. And drunk self-surgery doesn't seem to work well either. At least, I couldn't replace my arm. Cutting it off, went fine, but the replacement did not.
Eye replacement was a total no-go.

You can instead use the pick-up verb from the right-click menu and quickly click yourself.
Actually easier to do than the old method.
