There are no floor drains.

One shower can flood the entire station with only the janitor's floor buffer to stop it.

MY YELLING

HIGH PRIORITY (gameplay ruining)
  • Atmospheric issues on east end of station, apparently due to repeated movement of the research shuttle. Research dock and QM become extremely hot to the point welding fuel will spontaneously ignite and people will roast alive, and the heat wave spreads from there. This is not a Chiron-exclusive issue and has its own thread here.
MEDIUM PRIORITY (gameplay hampering)
  • The drawbridge refuses to pressurize. My suspicion is that the wall tiles aren't properly changing their atmos permeability, based on Flourish's statement that the tiles do actually pressurize for a limited time.
  • Research vessel ejection system needs an additional mass driver under the hatch to compensate for atmospheric drift
  • Incoming cargo in QM needs to have different door timings - supplyshuttle_chiron.dm has a set of functional timings and can be used for reference
  • Mining department needs three miners' gear, and should have manufacturing gear set up such that some of it's accessible from both the smelter and ore conveyor. Did a mockup under the Mining Department spoiler.
LOW PRIORITY (disruptive in niche cases)
  • ICU's decontamination shower needs a drain
  • Research shuttle doors should be made self-closing
  • Research vessel should be moved north, and station slightly southwest, to prevent the nuke from damaging the station - make sure to adjust cargo transport zones in kind
  • Research vessel should have an additional shuttle computer on the bridge, replacing the door access log
  • Chemistry shower has a Cargo Office sliding door for some reason
  • Remove Robotics AI shell space and replace it with boxes of additional resources (this was a holdover from when AI shells weren't stored in the AI upload, and Robotics has no ready source of wire)
NON-PRIORITY (no effect on gameplay)
  • Left-hand AI upload window has a wall underneath it, instead of plating
  • Window between top and bottom doors in the hallway leading from drawbridge to security has a wall underneath it, instead of plating
  • Escape APC in the maintenance corridor (below HoP) isn't properly offset with pixel values
  • There are a few strange bugs with viewing asteroids through windows - they seem to have a fixed visibility range for some reason, which interacts strangely with the exposed asteroid bit near the kitchen.


Mining Department

* Engine doesn't have any way to fix pressure irregularities, there's no vents or auxiliary ports

* Igniter is pretty far from the mixer ports

* There's no computer mixer (But at least there's a manual tri-mixer up in gas storage, so that's fine actually)

* The engine rooms depressurize REALLY easy from normal coming and going and there's no air tanks in the engine rooms

* Random pipe under Morgue maintenance door should be removed, redundant vertical wire underneath Genetics entrance needs to be removed

* Merchant shuttles are using the incorrect vessel type; they should be using Cog1 style shuttles but are using something else entirely (I think Cog2).

* Disposals ejector area should probably be upgraded to have actual walls instead of asteroid just to avoid it being easily depressurized

* Clown zone has a false wall at the top left that leads to nowhere, this should probably be removed

* CE appears not to have his spawn point in his office for whatever reason

* Door to research mini-dock should have an upwards-facing window below it

* Bottom left tile of hydro is plating instead of grass

* Pathology monkey room should be grass, not plating

* Mining should have a nano-crucible, not an arc smelter. Old-area smelter should remain the same.

* Research shuttle computer, on the vessel side, is facing the wrong way

* Armory is missing a bit of floor tiling

* Brig lacks Stirstir

Scientists don't have access to the Path-O-Matic pathology vendor on the research station. They also don't have access to the nanomed machine there.

Edit: Also, the pump control computer in the zeta test chamber ONLY controls the engine pumps on the main station. The pump in the zeta test chamber is forever inactive.

MORE STUFF:
Radiation blowouts make it so scientists can't access the maintenance areas of the research station anymore.

* The cargo door for receiving by QM closes right before crates get past it, meaning crates ordered by the QM get stuck outside until your order another

* QM has a fire alarm that is placed over the sending mass driver (see image)

* Janitor's closet has neither a Buff-R-Matic nor cleaning grenades (intentional?)

* Janitor has access to robotics through their maintenance door, but not through their medbay door

There are no material processors or nano-fabricators (neither mining nor refining) at either of the arc smelters/nano-crucibles. You have to go to the mining outpost to actually do anything materials-related.

I only snuck a view at the end of a round, so sorry if I'm wrong.

Disposals doesn't have a door just before the crusher.

There's no port-a-medbay on the station

Medbay problems:

1. No beakers except for reserve tanks, which makes the MD's chem set-up annoying to use.
Edit: I've just realised this makes the MD's chemicompiler basically useless, since there's not much use in a beaker-mixing machine if you don't have any beakers.


2. No restricted medical locker.

3. MD's office is not connected to the grid (image in spoiler):

The APC's wires lead directly into some windows, which don't connect to any other wires anywhere.

4. Genetics receives no power:
The wires that connect to the Genetics APC lead in two directions. First, to Robotics:

The wire going into the computer would give power to Genetics, but it seems to be divided in half by the console's data terminal and so carries no power across.
Secondly, through Cloning:

Those wires in maintenance are powered and supply (I believe) the cloner and Robotics, but a wire leading towards them just ends suddenly in the doorway.

5. Missing pipes:

There only seem to be corner and junction pipes in this section. I flushed an extinguisher into the disposal unit on the far left and I have no idea where it went. Maybe this works somehow??

Tacking onto Avack's commentary: MD should probably get specifically a large beaker on top of the chem machine.

The AI upload can only be accessed by the captain and the armory barely has anything in it. Not even a vendor.

Toxins has some piping problems. Pipes which I saw and believe to be messed up are circled in green.

Mining's shuttle dock doesn't allow the miners to use it.

The mining area has an Arc Smelter, not a Nano Crucible.

Mining area is also missing a material reclaimer, a material refiner and that machine for building items like bows and small energy cells.
