Crate Bots aka Mulebot 2.0
#1
It's a bot. It's a crate. It's a crate bot! Buildable with a robotics manufacturer, QM starts with three of them.

Load the crate, close it, use a PDA program to set it's destination to either a cargopad or to deliver it directly to a person.

The crate bot locks, then rushes to it's destination. If it's a cargo pad, crate bot dumps out it's contents and returns home. If it's a person, crate bot tracks them using their PDA and waits next to them for a certain amount of time for them to unlock them with their ID. Once the unlocked (or if time passes without the person unlocking them) crate bot returns home.

Is it one use or something? Otherwise, why not a M. U. L. E. ?

It's meant to be much faster and able to directly track the person it's delivering to, marked improvements over the MULE hence the thread title. Think more of an Amazon delivery drone over a truck.

You could certainly apply all the features of these things to the MULE if you wanted. Another way to go would be to have it so you can bust open these guys by attacking them, where the MULE would be more tank like, so you're trading speed for security. Even more so if the MULE drops the crate while this thing spits out the contents onto the floor.

A terribad idea would be to allow someone to reinforce a cargo mule, which slows it down but lets you use it like an Armored personel carrier. A Killdozer update if you will.
