Syndicate animatronic set. 5-7 telecrystals. A crate containing four animatronic nukeops (One in command armor with dual revolvers, one with a shotgun, one with a csaber, and one with an MPRT-7) and a fake nuke. The fake nuke sends the same announcement as a real nuke when activated. The animatronics are inactive until the "nuke" is armed, after which they will patrol the area around the "nuke", "attacking" anyone who comes close with the robust NPC AI(Albiet unable to pick up any items other than their starting gear), but the shotgun and revolvers are "Bang" flag guns, the csaber is a toy sword, the MPRT is a firework gun, their spacesuits are cheap plastic costumes, and the nuke is a novelty beer keg; facts the animatronics are blissfully unaware of as they try to "shoot" and "stab" you. The animatronics drop their fake weapons and costumes when destroyed, and the nuke lights up with cheap flashing lights and low-quality explosion sound effects when it's timer hits zero. Once the nuke hits zero, the animatronics that have not been destroyed will shut down, their act over.

Add a secondary timer to lock it and you get an excellent diversion.

This is great idea, but I think the animatronics need a bit more teeth to 'em to really cement the distraction element; otherwise, the jig is going to be up pretty quickly as people realize the traitor blew 5-7 TC on something that's ultimately harmless! Make the guns fire airsoft bullets that deal a bit of brute and a bunch of stamina damage to unarmored targets, and make the csaber do about the same damage as razor blade; it's not just a toy sword, but a training version of the real thing! Realism in your animatronic displays, ladies and gentlemen!

There can be about 5 nukees max that can EVER work together.
This means 5 nukes, 10 if it's 5 or 6 telecrystals.
They each place a different nuke, and assuming that this activates on remote-control instead of locking, they all get home.
The Crew gets 5-10 different nuke messages at once, and a bunch of aggressive syndicate NPCs which, may I remind you, THOSE FUCKERS ARE ROBUST MURDERING MACHINES AT MELEE OH DEAR GOD THEY'RE LIKE ADVANCED MONKEYS AHHHH
Therefore, I completely support this idea just for this scenario.

Wouldn't people just avoid them? Sure, it works as a good distraction, but there's no reason to go after the bomb. In practice, this will just be something traitors will set up in the bar, to kill anyone moving through it.

Alternative Suggestion: Cardboard cutouts of nuke ops. Significantly cheaper, and unlikely to do anything more than make people feel a little foolish.

When you hear a nuke being placed, your first reaction is usually "goodbye station". Not "another firework".
