Edge-case photo layering issue

I took a photo of the AI and dropped it then dropped a briefcase on top of it. The briefcase was on top of the photo but underneath the photo of the AI's face.

Layering seems to have been changed in general. Building windows and grills doesn't put you behind them as it used to.
