New belt speed pulling crates back onto belts

I managed to have a crate full of ore end up in disposals, and after trying to pull it out with the belts off it would get pulled from my grip. Even after moving it 3 tiles away it still went right back onto the stopped belt.

belts that people regularly interact with need to be dialed back down somehow

Perhaps a wall mounted console or dial for speed settings?
