Going invisible with Unstable Refraction, Cloak of Darkness, and Chameleon make you unable to hear anything except Radio Chatter. This has existed for a while, I'm not sure if it's unable to be fixed due to how it works mechanics-wise, but it's annoying nonetheless.

After being injecting with booster x I became blind and invisible. This made it impossible to fix my sight problem, as no one could find me nor could I help myself.

Booster X unlocks all of your genes, so you probably had the deaf gene and chameleon gene.
