Anyhoo, I think maybe instead of a critter machine, you could order critter crates and there was a separate item for pacifying and training them.

It's meant for construction mode, the mode where you build things. That mode.

construction mode is also a sort of survival run against environmental threats. not everything needs to be free or easy
